Our guide dog mums and dads live out in our volunteer Breeding Dog Holder’s home environment for the duration of their careers and beyond. It’s a lovely, safe, secure and welcoming environment for our dogs, especially for our guide dog mums who will give birth within the home. Their puppies remain in the home until they’re seven weeks of age.

In this video, Tim Bloomfield, Breeding Dog Advisor, Phillippa, volunteer Breeding Dog Holder and Janine Dixon, Breeding Dog Health and Wellbeing Operations Manager, discuss the third step of the journey of a guide dog: 0-8 weeks.
