Three Way Breeder Box Platy Babies! #aquarium

Three Way Fish Breeder Box, which we are using to raise Platy fish fry. It is a plastic fish breeder box that floats on the top of the aquarium and helps to protect the fry. It has three compartments for the fish and baby fish; two large sections and a small one at the bottom under a grate for the small fish fry to hide in (sections are removable). The breeder box can be used to separate a pregnant fish and allow her to give birth in the safety of the enclosure. The fish fry will fall to the bottom grates of the box and remain safe at the bottom. This box can also be used to isolate fish as needed.

We got this 3-way breeder box at PETCO for under $10. It also may be available on Amazon.

Our Platy baby fry are two weeks old in this video and growing fast. We did not see the birth and got the breeder box after the fact; so we lost most of the fry saving four.
