Let other people have cats and dogs! Jungle Bob is here to show you that owning a pet reptile or amphibian is not as complicated as you might think. In this video, he shares three tips about caring for a pac-man frog.

A favorite beginner frog for people, due to it’s small size enclosure, is the Pacman frog. They come from South America. We see them in marshland area. They like to lay in very shallow water, so they’re very easy to keep in captivity.

They kind of stay sedentary; they’ll stay in one spot. So a very small tank is all you need to keep a Pacman frog happy. Clean water, of course, and a variety of different food sources.

The fun about the animals is the animation of watching them eat, because they get the name Pacman because their tenacious way of gobbling up food and chasing it in a little tiny closure of a 5 gallon tank.

So, Pacmans comes in a variety of different colors. We steer people towards them who are not very much beginners but the intermediate, if you will, keeper can keep the Pacman frog happy and healthy for many, many years.

They start out about the size of a nickel and they’ll grow to over the size of the palm of my hand in a very short order because of the voracious appetite. The Pacman frog is some of our favorites as far as animals to keep in a small terrarium.
