What Are Some Of The Best Reptile Care Books
In this video i am discussing some of the best reptile care books available.
Following on from the last video on how to research reptiles properly, I wanted to build upon or at least touch upon some of the things I discussed in that video. Now we mentioned that books are one of the better sources when researching reptile care. They may be peer reviewed, although not every book necessarily has been. The author of the book is clearly stated and the researcher can look up their credentials.
I would like to be completely transparent about my choice of wording for the title, “what are some of the best reptile care books” was decided upon due to SEO reasons. That being said, the books included are either books I have read or actually own. I may offer so some honerable mentions if they are highly regarded books that I have not read myself per say.
The first books on the topic id like to discuss is the books produced by Arcadia reptile, written by John Courteney-smith MRSB. These include:

If all of this is overwhelming then the pet expert book series written by Lance Jepson, they are neither simplistic, nor are they too complex. “Lance Jepson started ‘Vets4Dragons’ a veterinary service for aquatic and exotic animals in 2003. He qualified from university of cambridge, and has since lectured nationally and internationally on the veterinary care of exotic animals”
Id like to mention Mader’s Reptile and Amphibian Medicine and Surgery because it was so highly suggested to me by a few very advanced keepers. I have not read it due to it being out of my price range. That being said it dips into exotic veterinary medecine which may interest people looking for advanced material.
