Are you going on vacation and not sure what to do with your pets? Well reptiles make great pets to leave for a week while you go on vacation it turns out. Several reptile species will be fine if left alone for a week but of course, getting someone to check in on your reptiles while your gone is the best way to go. For example, a dumerils boa might be the best pet snake ever because they are amazing and fun and so easy to care for. Leave your lights and heat on smart plugs or timers and leave a giant water bowl, that’s it. Dumerils boas make great pets and if you travel a lot these snakes might be perfect for you! Maybe you want something smaller? In that case, maybe a California King Snake might be best for you! I love my king snake and you might too. Again, easy care and can easily be left for a week with no attention and be perfectly great that whole week. If you want a friend with four legs maybe a Leopard gecko is the best pet lizard for you as they are so fun and cool but easy and can be left for a week no problem. Of course if you’re a frog lover an amphibian that fits the bill is a Pixie Frog. African Bullfrogs are great pets and are so low maintenance. If you’re more of a pet sandbox type of person a and boa is a great option. Kenyan Sand Boas are so easy and great pets too!
