The easiest pet reptiles to keep are often the most rewarding species. For example, Blue tongue skinks are really big skinks but not really big animals and easily managed for most keepers even without a ton of reptile keeping experience. If you’re looking for an easy snake to keep, they don’t get less difficult than corn snakes and a lot of North American colubrids like other rat snakes and King snakes. California Kingsnakes are a great example of this! African Fat-Tailed geckos make great pets and are much smaller than the BTS lizards! African Fat Tailed geckos are cute, small and eat very well on easily found insects. Frogs can make very easy captives too. Whites Tree Frogs, sometimes called Dumpy Tree Frogs or Australian Tree Frogs are really great for keepers looking for an easy, low maintenance pet frogs. These big tree frogs might be the best pet frogs you could ever keep! Lastly, Crested geckos are super easy! Eating a powdered diet and having really easy care requirements! Even similar geckos like Chahoua geckos or gargoyle geckos fit the bill as easy geckos to care for!
