Meet Elan the Male Owl: A Tribute to a Life Taken Too Soon
The local male is named “Elan”, aka “BrightSpot” after Elan Ganeles, a young man whose life was tragically taken too soon when he was murdered. Elan is a very devoted and good provider.

We added this little owl nest box on April 7, 2022 in hope that a pair will occupy it in in 2023. To our surprise we checked the box on June 5 and discovered the box was occupied with 2 days old nestlings and a egg. On June 7 the youngest nestlings died for unknown reasons.
