How to get Green Mums! (25% chance) // ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZONS guide

In this video I’ll show you how to get some Green Mums in ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZONS! Using the method I have outlined here will give you a 25% chance to grow Green Mums out of some purple ones in the end. Timestamps and a full description of the method can be found below.

– – – FULL BREAKDOWN OF THE METHOD – – –

Phase 1:
– Red + Yellow = Special Yellow Mums (100% chance)
– in pairs, 1 space around

Phase 2:
– Special Yellow + Special Yellow = Purple Mums (25% chance, 2 different variants but it doesn’t matter)
– in tight boxes of 4, 2×2

Phase 3:
– put first Purple Mum by itself and water it, it will clone itself eventually (or you’ll get another one from the previous phase)
– pair 2 Purple Mums together, and water
– Purple + Purple = Green Mums (25% chance)
– Purple + Purple = Purple Mums (50% chance, you can use these to build more pairs and boxes)
– if you get a Purple Mum, just add it to the formation, eventually growing it to a tight box of 4, 2×2
– grow formations from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 Purple Mums, then make another one
– 1 space around the boxes / pairs

Victory lap:
– when you finally get a Green Mum, put it by itself, water it, let it clone itself, and put the clone 1 space apart. Keep watering both, and they will both clone themselves. Repeat until you have as many Green Mums as you want!

Bonus tip 1:
– time travel helps immensely, just water your flowers, save & exit, shut the game down, move Switch date 1 day forward, open game, water flowers, save & exit, shut the game down, move the date etc.

Bonus tip 2:
– watering flowers yourself gives a 5% chance for the flowers to produce
– after 3 waterings in separate days (flower not moved), the chance starts going up by 5% every day (so day 4 will have a 10% chance, day 5 a 15% chance etc)
– if a visitor waters your flowers, it adds 20% more to the flowers’ production chances immediately!
– so if you want to boost your flower production, have 1 visitor water your flowers every day, or even more if you can (max is 5, gives a massive boost of 75%)
