Budgie Taming Journal: Day 1 II Basic Tips

Taming budgies doesn’t only mean they get to know you, they get to express they’re feelings to you.

Always Remember:
✔ Someone who’s taming a budgie has to ensure they are patient, friendly and gentle at handling pets, birds are domesticated animals, so please take care of them well.
✔ To tame a new bird, do the following:
a. Place your hand at the bottom of the cage for 15-35 minutes daily.
b. Let them get used to your voice by saying they’re names with sentences over and over here is an example: “Who’s that pretty bird? Petra!”
c. Always back up a few steps if your budgie is not yet ready.
✔ If you think you are advanced, go to the steps of breeding budgies and letting them do tricks.

Taming budgies is hard, unless you’ve tamed 2 or more before. I am already at the middle of advance at taking care of budgies, studying them, breeding them, taming them, it is not so easy to tame a budgie. You have to complete hard tasks in about 2-4 months, like leaving your hand, distracting them to perch on your finger, or hand feeding. Always take note that budgies are very sociable, and are easier to tame then most birds.
