5 Reptile Record Keeping Tips: What A Vet Wants Recorded
Here are 5 reptile record keeping tips with input from Tariq Abou-Zahr, an exotic vet. Record keeping is an essential part of reptile husbandry. These 5 record keeping tips will arm you with the knowledge to maintain decent records for your reptiles, records that an exotic vet would be thankful for if you should ever need to take your reptile to the vet.
You can get very meticulous with your record keeping, turning it into a chore, that’s why I recommend prioritising the basics as a minimum.
It can be easy to go into this full of motivation and want to keep the most detailed records ever! But do remember the more you opt to record, the more you commit to. If you want to record anything and everything, you can never have too much data. Its up to you to manage your own records and how much you wish to commit to, but records are useless if you overwhelm yourself and stop and start creating large gaps or stop entirely.
