The list of reasons why Guppies are one of the most popular fish for beginners:

1. Male long and colorful attracts the eye of children while eating food,
2. Female short and tail is colorful – can breed more fish in a month
3. Constant movement makes fish lovers attractive

Before Buying Guppies :
1. Inspect in the shop if there is any white spot above guppy fish
If White spots present above guppy fish, avoid buying that fish.
If not Keep the Fish separately from other fish as Isolation / Quarantine for 2 weeks.
pour 2 drops of Fish medicine in-tank daily 2 times to get better results.

2. Tank Size :
Even though Guppy fish are small in the creature, it does need a big tank for good health and breeding
Big tank with oxygen prevents overcrowding thereby decrease fish to die soon
I suggest you use Cement Tanks for breeding
We have seen good results in breeding Guppy Fish

3. Tank Mates –
Don’t worry about other fishes to mingle with Guppies.
They are so good and friendly with Molly, Sword-Tail, Platy, Betta Fishes.
Stay away from any fish that has a reputation for being fin nippers.

4. Breeding –
It can live happily in Huge tanks and if properly cared daily it can breed a lot of baby guppies eg. 20-120 numbers. Guppy Fish don’t lay eggs that they have to protect till they hatch.

5. Water Requirement :
Avoid Cold Waters / Care in the winter season
Check the temperature once a day as routine care.

6. Food –
Common fish pellets are good for Guppies.
For Breeding: Boiled Egg Yolk in small pieces to be fed to guppies twice a week.
avoid more pieces of egg yolk as it makes water turbid and not good for fish.

. 7. Common diseases –
White spot disease is common
treatment: isolation/quarantine from healthy fishes
