Trick- Freshwater Refugium (& really saltwater sump refugium too)
This was a question from someone who basically wanted to make a sump freshwater refugium for their freshwater planted tank. Really, this trick can be done for a saltwater refugium too.
Instead of using marine product miracle mud, which refugiums are mostly thought of for, use something like Lava Rock or SeaChem Matrix, as this will be a awesome Nitrate eliminator.
