Top 5 Tips for Freshwater Aquarium Filtration [Hard Lessons & Experience Have Changed Me!] – Ep. 1

In my years of keeping fish and being on Youtube certain topics have certainly been the most popular. Recently, in going over my top 10 most viewed videos of all time (see playlist here: )
It became clear to me that one of the most popular topics was freshwater aquarium filtration.

When I started thinking about it, it became clear that what I once thought was vital had changed over time. The things I talked about in prior videos was still important and vital, but perhaps not as vital as I used to think it was. I’m always learning and evolving as a fish keeper. I’m sure you are too.

Here are my current top 5 tips for freshwater aquarium filtration. 5 tips that over time, after some hard lessons and experience, have moved to the top of my list.

Take a look and let me know what you think. Do you agree? Are there some that I’ve left off the list? Share your thoughts in the comments below, since, as mentioned above, I’m always learning, and a lot of what I learn is from you!

Thanks for stopping by! You are appreciated.

Why not watch the live stream while drinking out of a Ben O’Cichlid coffee mug or wearing a channel hoodie or tee. Purchases of channel merchandise help to support the channel and are greatly appreciated. You can visit my Teespring store by clicking here:

I now have an Amazon Store Front. In it I list fish keeping products that I’ve tried and tested and recommend. If you go to the store and buy a product, or go elsewhere on Amazon and buy something outside of my store, it supports the channel with a very small percentage of the purchase price. It doesn’t increase your cost one cent. Here is a link to the store: www.amazon.com/shop/benochart
