Seeding Freshwater Aquarium

Got a new aquarium and needed it set up fast. I’m good at waiting on the process of establishing a new tank and understand now more then ever how important it is but I have a female who is holding and they way I want to go about this is move her into a new tank as soon as possible so I am attempting seeding a new tank with an old one. Honestly I did not research on this, I just kinda understand what to do. If I am completely wrong please give me some advice (though it may be too late). After testing the water and comparing it to the other aquarium I do have a little ammonia and nitrites, can’t say for sure if they are at zero but the coloring of the test is just a little different from the other so there is very minimum detection. If it doesn’t climb in the next 5 days or so I’d like to move the holding female.
