Quick Guide to Quarantining New Fish

After I acclimated my new clown killifish, I wanted to make sure they don’t spread disease to my other fish, so here’s my go-to quarantine method:
— Week 1: add new fish to quarantine tank, proactively treat with broad-spectrum medications to clear out their systems, do not feed
— Week 2: 50% water change, feed the fish normally
— Week 3: 50% water change, treat with antiparasitic med again to get rid of any worm eggs that hatched, feed the fish normally
— Week 4: 50% water change, feed the fish normally, check for good health
— Week 5: if fish are healthy, add them to the display aquarium
