It takes the hillstream planted aquarium to a whole new level and distributes nutrients and fertilizers equally around the tank. This video is also a bit of a tank update, however, I hope it serves the purpose of explaining why you would need a powerhead. wavemaker or pump and also how using ones generally will cut down on co2 needed, will improve oxygenation, and break up algea along with protein films or slicks on top of the water.
