Petsmart Goldfish – Tips on picking Healthy Fish

Loki, Nesbit and Flutter Butter displaying normal healthy goldfish behavior for anyone thinking to buy fish from a pet store like Petsmart .. where I bought these guys.

HEALTHY GOLDFISH:
*Active
*Pecking for food
*Swimming all over tank
*Friendly/Social
*NO red streaks in the fins
*NO White Spits on body or head
*Fins are not torn or damaged

Remember that even an active happy fish with some red streaks just needs better water conditions and actually deserves to be saved!

White spots is fungus or ICH.
These fish would need immediate medical care. If the fish are cheap, you know how to medically treat them…. GO FOR IT 🙂
