More thoughts on fishkeeping:
Awesome fish to keep if you don’t want to heat a tank. Penguin tetra Care guide. Yep…I lost danios too thought they were too big for my leaf…one of mine is with angels and paridise gourmi’s…and the other is with a crawfish ,tiger Barb’s and a bala..all get along fine. Yes they are docile but they don’t take no crap off any of their tank mates though…they are a member of the gourami family so to me they are big babies can be on the shy side..this is Willow my biggest one she’s very shy.

Man I’ve been racking my brain wondering why mine looks different than all the other ones. I guess they’re all ctenopoma genus. Mine must be a different species. I’ll have to do some more research. Edit: actually the more I read into it the more I’m thinking they’re actual just bred from slightly different looking spotted ctenopoma.
I had two one who looked identical to that and never grew the other one grew huge. I assumed it was a gender thing maybe but looking a little further they are supposedly extreme hard to sex so it can’t be that. Has it grown much since you’ve had it…this one is just over a year old she’s the bigger of my 2…both mine were about the size of yours when I bought them now they are 5 and 6 inches…get him some frozen blood worms as well…you might be right that yours is a different type. it looks undernourished (not blaming you, a lot of juveniles come into stores looking like that). An insect/cali black worm based diet will fix him right up. Bug bites are a good choice
I feed mine endlers livebearers or mollies occasionally too, but I breed them myself. The way to differentiate the sexes is by their operculum, not by body shape- and it’s extremely hard to do when young.
Please watch full video. I bought this tank used making me the third owner. I don’t know how old the tank is and how it’s been stored/used in the pass. To me the silicone looks almost perfect. As you can see in the video I’m using the tip of my nail to lift the silicone a just a bit to see and it only lifts a tiny bit and only in very few places, some places doesn’t lift at all. I’ve filled the tank up to the top 3 times for a total of 50+ hours and have not had any leak. I am moving to a carpeted apt and I would like to know your honest opinion with all the info giving and after watching the video.. do you think I should have it resealed? If so, does resealing actually work I’ve heard many different things. Any advice is much appreciated. TIA
I wouldnt risk it. I resealed my tank myself just by watching videos on YouTube. It took no time at all and the tank is still holding strong. 10 dollar s and 2 days and you want habe to worry about it better than getting everthing in it come home and youR HOUSE IS FLOODED.
