Measuring Salinity…well really 'specifc gravity' lol for saltwater Aquarium



Using a cheap basic Coralife Deepsix Hydrometer to measure specific gravity. I try to aim for 1.025 ppt (parts per thousand of dissolved salts/minerals) at a temp approx 78F to 82F.
*Note: always keep the hydrometer filled with a high salinity mixture in storage and always take about 5 samples to make sure your readings are consistent, and it won’t hurt to have a back up hydrometer for comparison. FYI!
