How To Kill Marine Aquarium Brown Algae & Diatoms



Marine diatoms are a common problem in a marine aquarium common solutions are:

Check your lighting is the correct bulb, brightness and on the correct amount of time.

Nutrients are an issue with marine diatoms and brown algae. silica and silicates are the most problematic but also nitrates and phosphates will feed marine diatoms and brown algae. Reduce feeding and livestock if necessary.
