Breeding Parrot cichlid fish females start by laying eggs on flat surfaces or in caves and the male would then try to fertilize it. Blood Parrot cichlid pairs can breed every 2 weeks to month. Most blood parrot fish will lay their eggs in an area they can easily defend and protect.
