Do Monte Carlo need Co2?
This plant is very similar to Hemianthus Callitrichoides (HC/Dwarf Baby Tears) but the leaves are larger and in our experience, its easier to grow. When hobbyist are having trouble growing HC, we recommend giving Monte Carlo a try. High lighting and Co2 injection is necessary to keep this plant low growing.
Is Monte Carlo hard to grow?
The wonderful Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo’ is understandably one of the hobby’s most popular carpeting plants with its beautiful fresh green colouration, attractive small round leaf shape and being relatively easy to grow.
Does Monte Carlo need sand?
Substrate. You can grow Monte Carlo plants within any kind of substrate. However, because the plant’s roots are very small and fine, we recommend using sand or fine gravel that will hold the roots and prevent the plants from becoming dislodged from the substrate
Can you replant Monte Carlo trimmings?
Regular trimming will help your Monte Carlo plant grow quickly and also prevent overgrowth. You can either replant the trimmings or dispose of them. If disposing of them, add to your compost bin, bury them, or dissolve them in bleach.
