glass aquarium lids are garbage. better lighting for corals glass aquarium lids are gone. good light for coral is important. no glass lids allow more light to penetrate the water for the coral and better gas exchange for aquarium as a whole. salt creep (salt splashing and drying) against the glass made it difficult for light to penetrate the water. removing the glass and using egg crate allows all light to penetrate the water, giving the coral much more light. i also like that i can pour water directly into the top of the tank without having to removing lids or anything. no more salt creep to clean on this tank. took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. thanks for watching! rotter tube reef saltwater aquarium care that’s fun and honest.
