Tuesday Tips Episode #5
In this episode of Tuesday Tips For A Healthier Fish Room I discuss 3 different ways I have proven to Instantly Cycle a freshwater aquarium!
Please note that these techniques will not completely cycle your aquarium, but allow you to Instantly add fish to help boost your nitrogen cycle!
1.) This method can be used for a quick quarantine set up if you come across a sick fish that needs immediate attention!
2.) If you have a bully in your one and only tank, try using one of these techniques to pull out the bully and isolate it from the others to prevent serious injury or death!
3.) This method can also be used to set up a tank if you received an unexpected batch of fry that you weren’t prepared for!
Aquariums are like fine wine, they get better with age!!! Don’t use one of these methods on a big tank and fully stock that tank on the first day! You need to treat this like you are setting up a tank without cycled media. The whole system is still going to need to cycle, the cycled filter media is going to allow you to add your first few fish! Take your time and enjoy the ride! Only add a few fish at a time and wait a few days before adding more! Always remember to keep an eye on your water parameters when setting up a tank like this!
