What to do if you find a tick on your dog or cat- Companion Animal Vets
When you find a tick what do you do? You need to remove the tick and it actually doesn’t really matter all that much how you do remove the tick. Just get it out. Half a tick is a dead tick and is not producing any toxin. Watch your pet for any signs of tick paralysis and if they show them get them to the vet ASAP.
