Vet Advice on Separation Anxiety in Dogs and Cats
Separation anxiety in dogs and cats is a common issue for pets, especially after COVID. Many people got a new pet during lockdown and these fur babies bonded with their owners and became used to having them at home.
When offices reopened a lot of dogs and cats were suddenly home alone and started experiencing anxiety from separation and loneliness. Dogs in particular are social animals and love having company as much as possible. Left to their own devices they can whine, bark and cause damage to your home and themselves.
Dr Cath Watson shares advice on preventing and treating separation anxiety in dogs and cats. She guides us through the possible risks that can happen when separation anxiety leads to destructive behaviours.
