Dog Care Tips

How to treat your dog's ear infections at home with Banixx pet care.

Treating ear infections in dogs is one of the most sought after treatments at vet clinics.

Does your dog have itchy ears?
Does he scratch and shake his head?
Does your dog have smelly ears or heat around the ears?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above symptoms, then it is possible that your dog may be suffering from an irritating ear infection that can be treated using Banixx. Common causes of dog ear infections are ear fungus, ear yeast infection, bacterial infection, or ear mites.

To remedy your dog’s ear infection at home, use a cotton ball moistened with Banixx, not dripping, 2-3 times daily. Make sure to coat the inside of the ear liberally with Banixx and massage it into the ear tissue. Results should be seen in a couple of days.

Banixx can also be used as a regular dog ear cleaning solution for dogs prone to ear infections. If your dog is fearful, due to the pain, you may begin with a dry cotton ball and gradually moisten it. As you progress, be sure that the ear is wet with Banixx.

Surprisingly, many dogs are not fearful if you spray Banixx directly into their ear, however, if you use this approach, be sure that the Banixx is room temperature. If in doubt, run the bottle under some warm water to ensure this; no-one likes a cold liquid sprayed into his/her ear.

Moreover, if you adopt this method, please be sure to “close” off the ear, using the dog’s ear flap, and massage the Banixx gently around inside the ear. This will help prevent your dog from shaking his head, post-treatment, and covering you and his environment with Banixx.

A good coating of Banixx, throughout the inside of the ear, is required since Banixx works on contact and goes to work immediately.
