Help Us Continue Our Life-Saving Rescue Work And Pay Off Our Vet Bills
Our organization pulls dogs with urgent medical needs from local shelters and provides life-saving veterinary care and a loving environment for recovery. We have saved the lives of 58 dogs in the past year alone who had been written off as lost causes, but we are now in desperate need of help paying off our medical bills.
Love is Fur Ever Rescue is a Christian-based organization dedicated to rescuing abandoned and neglected dogs in Florida. We believe that every dog’s life has a purpose, regardless of its past, and every dog deserves a second chance to be loved. We work tirelessly to find the right homes for our rescued dogs, no matter the condition that they are in. Sometimes dogs and people with similar scars, whether they are physical or emotional, can help each other to heal.
Caring for an animal that has experienced severe trauma can be challenging, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. We do not overlook any dogs because of the greatness of their needs. We pull dogs from our local shelter and place them in loving foster homes until they are ready to be adopted. Our organization is 100% foster-based, and we could not continue to do this good work without our incredible team of volunteers and foster families.
We take in dogs at the highest risk of winding up on a euthanasia list, which means we typically have dogs in our care with extensive medical or behavioral needs. Each of the 58 dogs we’ve rescued has required medical attention ranging from surgeries to hospitalizations to terminal illness care. Ailments and treatments have included car accident injuries, leg amputations, eye removal surgeries, fractured jaws, MRI scans, severe cases of neglect, and malnourishment. We have taken in owner surrenders as well as strays. From pregnancy to Parvovirus, we have truly seen it all this year.
We have saved the lives of many dogs that would be considered lost causes by most but were are now almost $20,000 in debt to our veterinarian. These medical bills have placed an enormous burden on our rescue, and we are struggling to keep our doors open. his is our desperate plea for help to pay our medical bills. If we cannot pay off this debt, we will be unable to continue rescuing dogs in need. We would be devastated to see any lives lost because we have to close our doors.
