…. When it comes to lead reactivity 99% of the time it’s the dog fixation that goes unchecked and that turns into a reaction. We want to ideally stop the dog before it explodes.
LOOKING OR NOT ??? we want dogs to be able to look at what makes them uncomfortable, if they look for a few seconds and look away that’s awesome, however there is a massive difference Between looking and staring.
If the dog is fixating on something that makes them react, they begin to get worked up, you will start to see a stiffening in posture, a slow down in breathing, mouth going from panting to shutting, wrinkles in the head more prominent and stress levels rising, but if we stop the dog here Vs waiting for the explosion, many times there is no reaction.
