Is Raw Food Spreading TB in Cats? (the warning explained) – Cat Health Vet Advice

The latest pet food alert to come out of England is that there have been multiple outbreaks of tuberculosis, TB, in cats that are being fed a raw food diet. Is the diet really to blame though. Are there certain breeds of cat or ages where they are more at risk and just how big is the problem that we know about?

Join me as I discuss all these points and more. What we feed our cats and dogs is key to their health but there is a lot of misinformation and polarising views out there that it can be a challenge to both know what to believe as well as have a civilized conversation about the topic of whether you should feed your cat a raw diet.

It’s early days in this investigation but it still raises important points and questions that you should ask yourself before deciding what diet is best for your cat. It is all too easy to follow clever marketing that actually has very little substance to back up the claims at present. Of course, our evidence base is constantly growing but until we have more firm answers it is easy to be made to believe that only one point of view must be the right answer.
