How To Cut Cat Nails And Save Your Skin – Cat Care #Shorts
It can seem like a difficult task to trim your cat’s claws, but it’s something that needs to be done. Not only does it safeguard you and your furniture, it also keeps their claws from digging into their paw pads.

The process itself is easy. Simply take their paw and apply a light pressure on top with your thumb. Their claws pop right out. Your cat might need to be held until they get used to this. With your cat’s nail trimmers, cut off just the tip of the claw. Nerves and blood vessels are located at the base, so you don’t want to remove too much.
Luckily, their claws are transparent, and you can see where the blood supply is – stay away from that area. And thatβs it. Make sure to have treats handy so they learn thereβs a reward at the end. Most cats need their nails trimmed every three to six weeks.
