This video details the steps you should take before starting your Cat® Mini Excavator for safety and maximum performance. The steps include:

1. Always conduct a machine walkaround to check for debris

2. When entering the mini excavator, face the machine always use three points of contact for stability

3. Once seated and before starting the excavator make sure to adjust the seat and armrest for comfort

4. Always fasten your seatbelt

5. Make sure that the hydraulic control console is in the raised position

6. Double check that the blade control lever and joysticks are in neutral position

7. Before starting the machine, check your surroundings to make sure that no one is in your work area

8. Set the engine speed control to medium idle position

After completing the above steps you are now ready to safely start your Cat Mini Excavator.
