There is a lot of information about grids + sore hocks out there. The grid on the Bumbox is a soft and high quality plastic that’s safe for little bunny feet.

Sore hocks typically develop from extended periods of time on *wire* grid floors, or from spending too much time on tough materials. Additionally, sore hocks can be prevented by providing multiple soft services for your bun to roam freely on. Never use a *wire* grate as this can cause hock sores and discourage your rabbit from visiting the litter box.
