No Better Way To Play! | FIN PLAYS: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster (Switch) – Part 1

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters were big on my radar for a while, and I finally got to play it on my Switch! Not only that, after the physical copies all immediately sold out at 2 in the morning, I found that they sold them somewhat regularly on PlayAsia. Knowing the Switch was region free, I ordered a copy that contains all 6 remasters on 1 cart, and hoped for the best. When it finally arrived months later due to backorder, it was perfect! A dozen plus languages, English as the default, a retro style font, really cool boxart on the inside, and all 6 games in one easy package.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from these games, holding strong that my nostalgia for the original Final Fantasy on the NES would win out, but this is THE essential version to play. So many quality of life additions, a wonderfully remade soundtrack by the legend Nobuo Uematsu himself, and pixel art done with reverence to the original designs, but with modern tech and technique.
