2 CRITICAL Mistakes To Avoid When Planting A New Tree

In this video, I share 2 critical mistakes to avoid when planting a new tree. The tree you select and how you plant a tree can determine the longterm health of the tree. Avoiding these two common tree planting mistakes can dramatically increase your chances of success!

When selecting trees for planting, many inexperienced gardeners select the largest tree they can find, thinking the bigger the tree they start with, the faster the tree will grow and bear fruit (if the tree is a fruit tree). This can be a catastrophic mistake.

In addition, the location you plant a tree and how you prepare and maintain that location means everything when establishing a tree. Newly planted trees are fragile and are easily out-competed by other plants growing nearby. Ensuring the tree establishes with minimal competition is critical for success.
