Chemical media or Chemical Filtration is 1 of the 3 major forms of media that can be used in your aquarium. But just like anything It has its pros and cons.

Seachem Purigen recharging Instructions:
1. Soak the Purigen in a 1:1 bleach: water solution for 24 hours in a non-metallic container. The bleach burns off organic material that has been captured by the Purigen.
2. Rinse the Purigen and soak it in Prime or dechlorinator solution for 8 hours.
3. Rinse the Purigen and soak it in water for an additional 24 hours.
4. For freshwater use, soak the Purigen for 4 hours with a solution containing 2 tablespoons of buffer per cup of water.
