Hey folks, we are in Arvin farm right in the SahBabii off Houston, Texas. When I first started farming, I used to have lots of predation because we have lots of Auburn coyotes predominantly, but we also have skunks. We also have other little predators, including raccoons my chicken with especially vulnerable so as my baby goats and baby sheep. Then I got the livestock guardian dogs. I have currently a Kangal and Akbash and a great Pyrenees once I got the guardian dogs, my production has been reduced to 0%. These dogs are extremely loyal, and they are also kind to people they are truly Gentle Giant. They are full proof boat for big predators like coyotes as well as small predators like skunks raccoons. That’s one difference that I found. I also had donkeys in the past, but the donkeys were pretty good in protecting, the cows go down the sheep and going after coyote, but the donkeys didn’t care about protecting the chicken or the pigeons or other birds however, the dogs takes care of all of them. They do not discriminate in protecting their families, beat birds or animals. they are equally effective for large as well, as well as small predators iCan not recommend highly enough for livestock guardian dogs. I’m a fan for them and I will be ever grateful to them. I could not have gone farming without livestock guardian dogs.
