HOW TO STOP A RABBIT CHOKING: The Bunny Heimlich aka Centrifugal Swing

I had to perform the bunny heimlich on my bunny when he was choking and it saved his life. I talk about signs of choking, how to stay calm (hint: PRACTICE!) and do a demonstration of the heimlich also known as the centrifugal swing and thoracic compressions. I learned this from Tracy Meadows, Tamara Adlin from Special Bunny.org and Stephen Flores the bunny guy and The House Rabbit Society website. I’m so grateful! I’m including links below. I encourage you to check out them all so you will be well prepared if this ever happens to you.
You always want to get your bunny to a vet ASAP and this is only to be used in life or death situations as the techniques can break your bunny’s neck or spine if not done correctly. I am not a vet. I’m just demonstrating what I learned from my experience and from learned from others.
