Lambchop Rasbora fish is native to South-east Asia which includes, far southwest of Thailand and the other parts in the southeast of the country around the border with Cambodia.
However the Harlequin Rasboras natural habitat is spread around Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand etc. Lamb Chop Rasboras only grow about 1.5 inches in length & have a very peaceful temperament. The natural habitat of Lamb chop Rasbora Fish is Peat swamp Forest area, the peat swamp forest resembles amazon black water’s, the leaf’s or wood does not decompose completely due to the water logged soil.

Information below will help you to care for Harlequin Rasbora & Lamb Chop Rasobora fish-
Tank size – I’m raising these fish in a 10 gallon as they are just over 0.5 inch, however a fully grown school of Rasbora fish may require a 20 gallon tank. They should always be kept in a school of 6 or more.
Aquarium decoration – A Rasbora tank needs to have live plants, driftwood etc. In case you want to breed these fish you may have to add crypts plants or Cryptocoryne plants as these fish lay eggs on these plants & mimics their natural habitat.
Filtration – These fish prefer low water movement, I’m using a under gravel filter in this tank, I follow 25% weekly water change.
Food for Rasboras – I feed Tetra bits as stable food & also spirulina, mini pellets, flakes, freeze dried worms, live food like daphnia & micro worms. These fish are Omnivores.
