10 things I wish I knew before I got my first budgie parakeet

1) The cage’s size you get offered at the pet store is not really suitable for your birds.

2) The same goes for the perch you get from the store.

3) Kissing your bird can end up badly.

4) Budgies need more than seeds and millet in their diet.

5) Budgies are really messy and they poop as often as every 15 to 20 minutes.

6) They are Noisy.

7) Not any veterinarian can treat your birds, you need an avian vet.

8) They are very smart and some of them can even talk, a big example for that is Disco the budgie.

9) They breed like rabbits, and by that I mean they reproduce quickly.

10) The average life span of budgies is between 8 to 15 years.
