I started off getting fish at Petco and PetSmart, but eventually I wanted to try something new that can only be found at local fish stores. The problem is that Petco offers mostly easy, hardy fish whereas a fish store offers everything and it can be hard to tell the difference between beginner-friendly and advanced-level fish.
