Rabbit 101: Blindness in Rabbits
Rabbits frequently lose their vision as they age or as a result of a major illness.
The good news is that blind rabbits can still navigate their environment by utilizing their senses of smell, hearing, and the touch of their whiskers. Rabbits who were completely or partially blind were able to live happily for many years. Blind bunnies will investigate with considerably greater caution and attention. Even with this precaution, you may occasionally see them collide with an item in their route. Rabbit is readily frightened by typical sounds in its environment or eyes that are clearly clouded.
