Budgies are social creatures. Bonding with their owners and interacting with other budgies is natural (and necessary) behavior when they’re happy. You can put your budgies outside, so long as you avoid extremes, have ample water, and have shelter from the sun and cold. In fact, your budgies will enjoy it. They need a bit of sun to stay at full health. Pick some greenery such as grass and put in with them, and they’ll thank you even more. 💚💖
🛑 The optimal temperature range for budgies is between 70 to 80 degrees, with little to no wind. Some budgies don’t like direct sunlight, so until you figure out your budgie’s preferences, put the cage in half sun and half shade, if possible. Also, be sure to watch for signs of your bird being too hot or too cold. If they are too hot, their wings will be slightly held away from their body, in an attempt to cool off. If they are cold, they will be shivering and their feathers will be fluffed in an attempt to stay warm.
