You’re staring out the window, taking in the scenery, when you spot a couple of wild rabbits grazing on the grass in your yard. That makes you think of your own bunny. Why do we give them dry hay when there is so much green grass available? It appears to be a natural manner for rabbits to feed, so why shouldn’t our pet bunnies be able to do the same?
Grass is extremely safe for rabbits in large quantities. High-quality grass includes a wide range of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, all of which contribute to a rabbit’s overall health and digestion. However, if your rabbit is used to eating dry hay, introduce grass gradually to minimize gastric difficulties.
