10 Gallon Freshwater Aquarium With Aqua-Tech 5-15 Filter

This is our first fish tank. It’s a Aquaculture Home Starter Kit 10 Aquarium from Walmart. Bought it for our 4 year-old son. This hobby has dragged me in more than I expected! Hoping to expand to a bigger tank soon.

Setup is an Aqua-tech 5-15 power filter w/EZ change #1 filter cartridge, Tetra Heater 10-30 and a Tetra Whisper Air Pump.

Current fish: 1 Crown Tail Betta, 4 Mixed Fruit Tetras, 2 Mollies (1 Dalmatian, you can see him chasing bubbles in back :)….), 2 Guppies (1 Fancy Tail), 2 Octocinclus , and 1 Ghost Shrimp.

Kids love it! We let them pick decorations and most of the fish. Highly recommend for young children. Great hobby to teach young kids and give them some responsibility. My children love to feed them and watch them.

Thinking about replacing some of the fake plants with real plants. Any recommendations?
