female dog uterine infection is very common in female of age more than 5 years
.
uterine infection generally occurs after heat or after whelping of female dog when cervix is open.
for sake of first aid we use betadine vaginal pesseries as shown in this video.
in advance cases complete blood count ir recommended.
CULTURE SENSITIVITY TEST ALSO RECOMMENDED IN NONRESPONSIVE CASES.
common antibiotics recommend
tab meriquin (enrofloxacin )10 mg per kg twice a day for 7 days
tab metrogyl 5 mg per kg body weight three times a day untill recovery.
tab augmentine 20mg per kg body weight twice a day untill recovery.
repeat blood testing after every 5 days to see the recovery of female
