Top Five Best Automatic Fish Food Feeders For Saltwater & Freshwater Aquariums 2021- Feeding Rings

We used five different automatic fish food feeders and three different feeding rings for the past month, and we’re going to share the good and the bad with you. Links to all of the feeders below, as well as our recommendations!

Best of By Category
1. Least Expensive – Current USA Aqua Chef is technically the cheapest, but its ratings aren’t good, so why not pay $2 more for the highest rated Zacro?

2. Highest User Rating – It’s a tie between the Eheim Feed Air and the Zacro, both of which are rated over 1,000 times and receive 4.4/5 stars on Amazon

3. Largest Capacity – A tie between the Lifegaurd Aquatics Intelli-Feed and the Zacro, both of which have a 200ml capacity

4. Most Mounting Options – Zacro, Lifeguard, and the Eheim Feed Air both have two mounting options.

5. Most Daily Feedings – All of the feeders can do at least 4 programed cycles each day, but the Zacro and Lifeguard can do three rotations per cycle, so I guess we’ll call them the winners. Technically, the Eheim Twin can do more, but I just don’t like that unit.

6. Easiest to Program – Tie between the Lifeguard and Zacro, which are pretty much the exact same unit.

7. Easiest to Refill – The Zacro and Lifeguard

8. My Overall Winner – Zacro. For $25, it’s just the same as the lifeguard, but half the price.

9. Favorite Feeding Ring – Innovative Marine Gourmet Defroster. It’s really a 3-in-1 unit.
