Many of my students are gearing up for the holiday season, which can be downright stressful and overwhelming. Especially for those of us going home to family and friends who may still be living with unhealed and unacknowledged trauma. Throw in the potential financial burden, stress of travel, and a heavy dose of cultural expectations, and you have a toxic stress soup that even the most regulated among us struggle to manage. It doesn’t have to be this way. So today I’m sharing a few tips on how to make it through the holiday season without adding more stress and trauma to your system.
