Rosy barb care is very easy and a great choice for beginning aquarists.
1. Size & Lifespan
They are one of the larger barb species that can grow up to 6 inches (14 cm) in length. With proper guide and care they can live upto 5 years, in your aquarium.

3. Tank Size
Always keep them in a group (at least 5 Rosy barbs) , if you kept alone them, they will feel very stressed.
So a 30 gallon aquarium (114 litres) or larger is recommended. At the time of water changing, replace 25% to 35% of the tank water at least once a month. If the tank is densely stocked, then replaced the tank water weekly or every other week.

You can offer foods 2 to 3 times in a day.
6. Male and female difference
Male and female rosy barbs difference are difficult to find when they are young. As they get adult, they got a pinkish color with a green cast along the back. The male has a brighter pinkish color on their underbellies and more slender. The female has a less coloration , smaller but plumper than male.
7.Tankmates
Rosy barbs make a great community, non-aggressive fish and also schooling fish. So you can keep them with swordtails, gouramis , danios, knifefish, ropefish, paradise fish, many American cichlids, and other barbs. Don’t keep them with tropical fish that are long-finned and slow moving.
