One of the main causes is their feeding and watering dishes. Every time they dip their heads into the bowl, their whiskers could be impacting the sides. To prevent this, use a flat, wide bowl for their food and a cat fountain for water.
Some people trim their cat’s whiskers, but this is a no-no. Doing this can make them disoriented or scared.
